Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the number one killer of Americans today.
It can happen in a heartbeat. Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) can strike anyone, anytime. It is a leading cause of death in the U.S., claiming nearly 320,000-325,000 lives each year—about 1,000 people a day—or one every two minutes. (SCAA)

Sandhills Cinema, one of the busiest places in town on the weekends, was the recent recipient of an automated external defibrillator (AED). The AED was donated by Jim Connell of Pinehurst and installed by the Southern Pines Fire Department.
